Walrus

B2B payment verification

Walrus verifies B2B payment details, addressing fraud in an industry that moves more than a trillion dollars a year and loses roughly 43 billion of it annually as settlement gets faster and more digital. Its DoubleCheck product collects and confirms payment details using proprietary authentication technology and AI, and is becoming the standard way its customers handle that step. Clients include large names in venture capital and private equity, and the company sells into the B2B mid-market as well as the Fortune 500. It was founded by PhD computer scientists and security researchers from Harvard, MIT and Stanford.
