Tides is a nonprofit and philanthropic organisation working across the social sector to shift power toward communities of colour and other groups historically denied it. Centring equity and justice, it partners closely with movement leaders, nonprofits, donors, foundations and corporations, amplifying their work through fiscal sponsorship, donor advised funds, grant making and other solutions. Fiscal sponsorship is the practically important service: it lets a new initiative operate with charitable status immediately rather than spending its first year forming an entity.
