Speak

Language learning app with tutor-style lessons

Speak is reinventing how people learn languages. Two billion people are actively trying to learn one, but the method that works best — one-to-one tutoring — is hard to get at scale and has not meaningfully improved in decades. Speak builds the thing that changes that ratio, making something close to a tutor's attention available without the constraint of finding and paying for one. Learning a language opens access to cultures, careers and communities, which is why the gap between the best method and the accessible one matters as much as it does.
