Spade

Transaction data enrichment for fintechs and banks

Spade gives financial companies usable data on the billions of transactions they process each day. Card, ACH, wire and aggregator records arrive with inconsistent descriptions, mismatched merchant names and categories that shift by payment type, and Spade's data and AI platform converts those strings into structured, verified records. Teams then put the cleaned data to work in authorization, attribution, analytics and AI projects. FIS, Bilt, Mercury and Stripe are among its customers, relying on it for personalized rewards, spending rules and AI-powered features. Spade leads its market on merchant coverage, match accuracy, geolocation data and enrichment speed. It runs as a lean hybrid team with an office in Manhattan's Flatiron district.
