Sona builds software for frontline businesses: restaurants, hospitals, schools, nurseries, airlines, stores and emergency services. Together those industries employ around 80 percent of the global workforce, more than three billion people, and they are harder to run than an office, with by-the-minute scheduling, HR and payroll all interlocking. Despite that, roughly one percent of venture funding has ever gone to software built for them, leaving a market above 500 billion dollars that the industry largely walked past. Sona has signed more than 100 enterprise customers across the UK and US and runs offices in London, New York, Austin and Lisbon.
