Autonomy software and aircraft for defence

Shield AI builds autonomy for defence, spanning both the software and the aircraft that run it. Its products include Hivemind, the autonomy software stack, the V-BAT and X-BAT aircraft, and Aechelon simulation technology. Building the autonomy and the airframe together is a deliberate choice: autonomous flight in contested conditions depends on how tightly the two are matched, which is difficult to achieve when the pieces come from different suppliers with different assumptions.
