Sailor Health is building an AI-native health system designed around ageing rather than adapted to it. The numbers it starts from describe the problem: 90% of American seniors live with chronic health conditions, 40% report feeling isolated, and older adults have the highest suicide rate of any age group. That is a population whose needs are as much continuity, contact and coordination as episodic treatment — none of which fee-for-service care is organised to deliver, since none of it bills cleanly as a visit.
