rossum.ai (opens in a new tab)Rossum builds the document understanding layer for business transactions, using proprietary transactional LLM architectures it designs and trains from scratch rather than fine-tuning general models. Those systems read the messiest business documents in production, millions of them every week: quotes, bids, awards, orders, invoices and contracts. The company joined Coupa, whose platform is the system of record for how large organisations decide what to buy, from whom and at what price, giving the research team a network of over 10 million buyers and suppliers and 10 trillion dollars of transacted spend to work against. Its focus is now shifting from reading those documents to acting on them, with the research team based in Prague.
