Retool

Development platform for internal tools

Retool makes a development platform for internal tools, the operational software companies use to refund orders, underwrite loans, onboard employees, analyse transactions and support customers. By Gartner's estimate, internal software accounts for as much as half of the code companies write, yet few companies invest enough in it, leaving staff with clunky tools or manual spreadsheet processes. Retool combines conventional software development with a drag-and-drop interface editor and AI, so internal tools get built much faster, and it abstracts away repetitive work while encouraging reusable components. Its users span young startups putting together their first operations tools as well as Fortune 500 companies whose mission-critical internal apps serve thousands of users.
