Perplexity is used by millions of people daily for research, shopping, investing and general curiosity, and in 2026 launched Computer, its product for agentic AI. The shift it is chasing is from retrieving knowledge to acting on it: answering a question is the start of a cycle rather than the end of one. Its mission is to power curiosity, on the reasoning that curious people drive change through a loop of learning, building and integrating, and that each stage of that loop needs tools. The integration stage is where agents matter, doing the many small pieces of work that turn something built into something adopted.
