Pair Team

Medical group for safety-net patients

Pair Team is an AI-enabled medical group that provides whole-person care to people who rely on Medicaid, Medicare and other public assistance programs. It treats stable housing, nutritious food and reliable transportation as health needs on par with medication and doctor visits, and it works with shelters, food banks and local community groups so patients have one trusted relationship covering medical, behavioral and social needs. Organized as a public benefit corporation, it is California's biggest provider of complex care, employing over 500 people, and it is expanding nationally. Its patients have 52% fewer emergency room visits and 26% fewer hospitalizations. Pair Team is also building AI infrastructure that links healthcare and social service organizations to coordinate care and automate operations.
