High-throughput proteomics platform for drug discovery
nomic.bio (opens in a new tab)Nomic builds tools that make biology easier to measure, starting with protein profiling. Its nELISA platform combines DNA nanotechnology, high-dimensional flow cytometry, lab automation and machine learning to measure proteins at very high throughput. Nomic spun out of McGill University and has worked with dozens of drug discovery teams as partners or platform users, including GSK, four of the ten largest pharmaceutical companies and leading biotechs. Its new manufacturing and profiling facility can process 2.5 million samples a year, the equivalent of about 500 million protein assays. The longer goal is to discover biomarkers that let diseases be detected earlier. Nomic is headquartered in Montreal and runs a satellite research lab in Boston.
