Meshy turns text and images into 3D models in minutes, for professional artists and hobbyists alike. The economics are the story: work that once took weeks and cost around $1,000 now takes roughly two minutes and a dollar, which changes 3D from something commissioned deliberately into something tried speculatively. The team combines computer graphics, AI and art expertise, with alumni from MIT, Stanford and Berkeley and veterans of Nvidia and Microsoft. Founder Yuanming Hu holds a graphics and AI PhD from MIT, where he created the Taichi GPU programming language.
