Mercura

AI quoting and back-office automation for industry

Mercura automates back-office work for the companies that supply and build physical infrastructure, an industry worth more than $12 trillion that sits behind hospitals, schools and power plants and still runs largely on email, PDFs, phone calls and manual ERP entry. Its first product tackles one of the sector's worst bottlenecks: converting unstructured technical inquiries into precise price quotes. Mercura reached $2 million in annual recurring revenue in its first year and is expanding into the U.S. from its Munich office in the WERK1 startup incubator. Its co-founders are Lukas, a former data scientist at Allianz and Google whose family has worked in construction for over a century; Sean, an International Physics Olympiad medalist and machine learning researcher; and Stefan, a former Bain consultant who worked with manufacturers.
