Meesho

Ecommerce marketplace for smaller Indian cities

Meesho built an e-commerce marketplace serving Tier 2, 3 and 4 towns across India, reaching customers who had barely shopped online before and for whom existing platforms were designed poorly or not at all. Its growth follows directly from obsessing over that customer's actual behaviour rather than adapting a metropolitan product downmarket — different price sensitivity, different trust assumptions, different devices. The company emphasises problem discovery as much as delivery, focusing not only on what to build but on executing rigorously enough to create real impact.
