Lime

Shared electric micromobility

Lime operates shared electric bikes and scooters, working toward transportation that is shared, affordable and carbon-free for the short urban trips that private cars serve badly. It has powered more than a billion rides across close to 30 countries on five continents and was named one of Time's 100 Most Influential Companies. Scale is central to the argument rather than incidental to it: micromobility only displaces car journeys once vehicles are dense enough to be reliably present when someone needs one.
