AI hazard detection on highways
LENS scans CCTV feeds on highways to identify hazards in real time before they become accidents. Public safety agencies and departments of transportation receive alerts on the LENS Detect dashboard about disabled vehicles, stalled trucks and pedestrians on freeways; a dispatcher validates the detection and sends an officer, either preventing a collision or reaching someone who needs help. The company rejects the assumption that accidents are an inevitable cost of road travel — most highway fatalities involve a hazard that existed for minutes before anyone was hurt.
