Lead

Banking infrastructure for embedded finance

Lead is both a fintech and an FDIC-insured bank, building the infrastructure other companies use to embed financial products into their own services. Owning the charter rather than renting one through a partner puts regulatory judgment inside the company, and Lead pairs that with automated compliance systems and bespoke program management so fintech partners can scale without treating compliance as an afterthought. It is guided by entrepreneurs and technologists with decades of experience in banking and payments regulation. Headquartered in Kansas City, with teams in San Francisco, Sunnyvale and New York.
