Knot builds the platform connecting merchants to the applications consumers and businesses use daily, positioning itself as the equivalent of Plaid for merchant connectivity. Its flagship CardSwitcher product lets consumers instantly update and manage the cards stored across their online merchant accounts — a task that is otherwise a manual crawl through dozens of sites and the reason card reissues cause so much involuntary churn. Founded in 2021 by brothers Rory and Kieran O'Reilly, both Thiel Fellows, Knot now powers connected payment experiences for hundreds of thousands of consumers.
