Innate is building a general-purpose robot that is intuitive, open and affordable, with the aim of doing for robotics what the PC did for computing. The comparison is deliberate: computers left large corporations once hobbyists could own and program them, and Innate wants robots to follow the same path, as a platform anyone can buy and build on. The small team is moving from its first customer deployments toward producing robots at volume.
