Fusion power development

Helion is a fusion power company in Everett, Washington, working to build the world's first fusion power plant and enable a future of unlimited clean electricity. Founded in 2013, it has raised over $1 billion. Its previous prototype, Trenta, completed 10,000 high-power pulses and reached plasma temperatures of 100 million degrees Celsius — pulse count being the meaningful number, since repeatability rather than peak temperature is what separates a demonstration from a power plant. The company is now operating Polaris, the next prototype on that path, with a team that prizes urgency, rigour and ownership.
