Staff are the service's largest cost, above £66bn, and around 35% of NHS employees work on administration full time, while cost pressure, industrial action by GPs, uncertain budgets and an older population are stretching waiting times and reducing appointments. Its first product, Automated Registrations, is in use at 24% of English GP practices. From that base it is building technology to send patients to the right place on their first attempt and to make every appointment visible and bookable, starting with general practice, previewed at bookable.health. It was previously ranked the UK's eighth fastest-growing startup and 33rd in Europe.
