HealthCare

Consumer health insurance marketplace

HealthCare.com uses technology and data science to build proprietary products that fit consumer requirements better and remove some of the guesswork and inefficiency from buying insurance. Individual health insurance is unusually difficult to shop for — plans differ across dimensions most buyers cannot evaluate, and the consequences of choosing wrong surface only when someone gets sick. The company operates in a startup-oriented environment and is expanding rapidly as market conditions, including ACA subsidy changes and a projected 9 to 10 million individual market exits, drive demand.
