Phone-based access to on-demand services for older adults
gogograndparent.com (opens in a new tab)GoGoGrandparent works to keep older adults living independently at home for as long as they can. Customers order by phone, and the service reshapes popular on-demand apps for people living with mobility, vision, cognitive or dexterity impairments, with rides as its largest and longest-running offering. After an order goes through, GoGo acts as a virtual caregiver, and for tens of thousands of older adults across the US it keeps track of daily needs such as getting around, meals, groceries, medication deliveries and running the home. Operating since 2016 and profitable, the company traces its origins to a co-founder's grandmother, who still uses it at almost 95.
