Embedded mobile connectivity platform for tech companies
gigs.com (opens in a new tab)Gigs builds an operating system for mobile services that lets technology companies offer global connectivity as part of their own products. It does for connectivity roughly what Stripe did for payments, sitting between the traditional telecom industry and modern software and taking on the deep technical and regulatory problems that lie between them. Around 100 people work at the company across the US and Europe, among them early engineers, product builders and commercial staff who came from Stripe, Airbnb and Shopify. Gigs puts real weight on in-person collaboration, and its teams spend regular time together in its hubs.
