FamApp enables online and offline payments through UPI and its FamCard, built for young users in India who are entering the financial system for the first time and are poorly served by products designed around existing bank relationships. Founded in 2019 by IIT Roorkee alumni, the company operates in a market where UPI has made digital payment ubiquitous while access to cards and credit for younger users has lagged well behind.
