Purpose-built chips for AI inference

Etched builds hardware for frontier intelligence, co-designing chips, racks, software and manufacturing together to deliver throughput and latency across both prefill and decode workloads. Designing all four layers in concert is the whole thesis — a chip optimised in isolation gives back its advantage at the rack, the compiler or the fab. Its first products focus on inference, which is where the volume of AI compute is heading as models move from being trained to being used.
