Ello

AI reading tutor for children

Ello's first product, Read with Ello, helps tens of thousands of children each week learn to read — listening as they read aloud, offering support when they stumble and generating personalised stories. Listening is the technically hard part and the reason it works: a child who reads to an adult gets corrected in the moment, and most children do not have that adult available. The company is now scaling toward a complete AI teacher covering learning beyond reading. It ships weekly, tests directly with children, and operates as a public benefit corporation.
