Draft The Record

AI assistance and transcription for legal proceedings

DraftTheRecord makes AI software for depositions and trials, used by three groups. Attorneys get live support during a proceeding that used to take a legal team, then use the platform to work through depositions and other evidence, so trial preparation takes days rather than weeks. Court reporters record audio through it and give lawyers and judges draft transcripts as the proceeding happens, and transcribers work about three times faster with its speech model built for legal language. Thousands of proceedings pass through each week, from Senate and House meetings and confidential hearings to murder trials and civil cases over family disputes and personal injury. The larger goal is quicker, cheaper access to justice. Its founders previously worked on Google's Gemini team.
