Payments in emerging markets

dLocal lets the world's largest companies collect payments across 40 emerging markets, operating as both a payments processor and a merchant of record in the countries where it works. That dual role is the substance of the product: acting as merchant of record absorbs the local entity, tax and regulatory obligations that would otherwise require a company to establish a presence in every market it wants to sell into. Global brands use dLocal to raise conversion rates and expand into the fastest-growing economies. The company has more than 1,000 people across over 30 nationalities.
