Technology-enabled wood manufacturing and distribution
Cambium is an American wood manufacturer, distributor and technology company modernising the wood economy, working with architects, builders and brands including Amazon, Room & Board and Equinox. Technology is how it matches supply to demand across a fragmented industry — the American hardwood sector has lost more than half its sawmills in two decades, quality trees go to waste, and the US imports more lumber than it produces despite domestic capacity being sufficient to meet nearly all its needs. The company's work has been recognised by Time's Best Inventions and Fast Company's Innovation by Design Awards.
