BioRender

Platform for creating scientific figures

BioRender gives scientists a platform for creating the figures they use to communicate research, and more than 54,000 publications have featured figures made with it. Its users are spread across more than 200 countries, and the company is profitable, growing over 200% a year on the strength of user adoption and a highly loyal community. The goal is to open up science communication to everyone, on the view that clearer ways to explain research make discovery and learning happen faster. The company works remote-first, with staff across Canada and the United States and an optional office in Toronto. Half of its team members are women, including people in leadership positions, and 65% of the team identify as BIPOC.
