Balance

AI-run accounting firm

Balance is an accounting firm in which AI agents carry out the work, and human accountants step in only where their judgment is needed, such as approving the final state of a client's accounts. It acts as the customer's accountant outright, closing the books each month more quickly, cheaply and accurately than a traditional firm, and answering questions about the accounts at any hour. Where established firms use AI for small efficiency gains, Balance is built around agents from end to end. It has close to 100 customers in the UK and Denmark and is growing around 40% month over month, with headquarters in Farringdon, London, and an office in Copenhagen.
