Aurelius Systems is a defence technology company building autonomous, edge-deployed directed energy systems for counter-UAS — laser weapons that shoot down drones. The economics are the argument: interceptor missiles cost orders of magnitude more than the cheap drones they destroy, which is unsustainable at the volumes now being fielded. The company is working toward the first cost-effective, reliable and robust laser weapon system, with a small team of engineers, former US military operators and subject matter experts scaling American directed energy capability.
